CSYPN TRIP TO CAMBRIDGE

NEW CROATIAN ANIMATION 2010 – 2011

at the Cambridge Film Festival on Saturday 24^th September 2011.

CSYPN has organised a trip to Cambridge Film Festival for the showing of the New Croatian Animation 2010 – 2011, the latest crop from Croatia, including titles featured at Cannes and the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival with the following titles: “My Way (Moj Put)”, “The Ornament of the Soul (Ornament Duse)”, “The Room (Soba)”, “Dove Sei, Amor Mio”, ”In Chains (U Lancima)”, “No Sleep Wont Kill You (Nespavanje Ne Ubija)”, “Flower of Battle (Cvijet Bitke)”. We also plan to watch a Bulgarian film Kosmos (2010). “With this, his sixth feature, director Reha Erdem has once again created a film completely different from his previous work. The film bursts with philosophical ideas, mystical subplots and some truly surreal moments, while capturing the haunting sense of a seemingly never-ending winter and exploring the primal nature of man.”

The programme for the day:

Meeting at 08.30 a.m. at the Golders Green tube station. Transport to Cambridge in a modern 16-seater bus. New Croatian Animation is showing from 10.30 – 11.40. From 11.40 – 12.30 coffee break. Bulgarian movie Kosmos is showing from 12.30 – 14.30. This will be followed by a picnic lunch in a local park or in case of inclement weather in one of the Cambridge restaurants. From 16.00 – 18.00 punting on the river Cam or sightseeing. Leaving Cambridge at 18.00 and returning to Golders Green by 19.30 approx. You can build your own itinerary.

The price for the transport is £15, Croatian Animation £8 (CSYPN members £6) and Kosmos £10. Slijede odmor uz kavu i film “Kosmos” koji traje od 12.30 – 14.30. Nakon toga naċi ċemo mjesto za piknik u lokalnom parku a u slučaju lošeg vremena ručat ċemo u jednom od restorana u Cambridge-u. Od 16.00 – 18.00 otisnut ċemo se na čamcima za “punting” na rijeci Cam ili ċemo posjetiti znamenitosti Cambridge-a. Povratak je u 18.00 a do Golders Green-a bismo morali stiċi oko 19.30 navečer.
