We are planning a visit to see the exhibition Forgotten Empire: "The world of ancient Persia" at the British Museum followed by our regular monthly pub event. 

Discover the wealth, power and enduring legacy of Ancient Persia. The exhibition brings together rare treasures to recreate the glory of the Persian Empire under the Achaemenid Great Kings, from 550–330 BC. The exhibition explores their rule; the magnificence of the royal palaces at Persepolis; the wealth of the Empire’s art and architecture; and the legacy of the Great Kings after the conquest of their empire by Alexander of Macedon.
