Since in 2004 we organised (with CAN and the Embassy) the first Croatian film festival in more than 30 years, we are seeing more and more of Croatian films in the UK. Do join us if you can for the best of the contemporary Croatian cinema.

Contemporary Croatian cinema can be characterised as very innovative, exploring and dealing with a variety of subjects, although it is not a very prolific industry. In this selection, which is characteristic of recent productions, we can often see a critical approach to some social aspects of contemporary life in Croatia, but at the same time these films are full of life, energy and promise.
